We are seeking a dedicated and self-starting Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 School Year. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students' communication needs, implement therapy plans, and collaborate with educators and families to promote student success.
This is a part-time (20-25 hours weekly), 9 month position. The hourly rate starts at $26.65 and may increase depending on experience and education level.

Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with student goals.
Support student progress by collecting data and maintaining accurate documentation.
Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and parents to support classroom communication strategies.
Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities to meet diverse student needs.
Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain compliance with state and district policies, as well as ethical and professional standards.

Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Stargate Policies and building and department procedures.
Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
Operating knowledge of district/school technology systems and any other department specific software and equipment within two months of entering the position.
Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, e-mail, etc.

Requirements
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
Current SLPA license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of practice.
Certification: Speech Language Pathology Assistants Certification (C-SLPA) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Experience:
Experience working as a speech/language specialist in a public school setting preferred, but not required
Experience and/or training in providing direct intervention for students identified as Twice Exceptional , either as a Service Provider or as an integrated Service Provider to other special education programs
Experience in student assessment, data collection and report interpretation
Desirable Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
