Reports To: Store Manager / Shift Leader
Location: Ellianos Coffee Shop

Position Summary

As a Barista, you are the face of our brand - crafting delicious drinks, delivering fast and friendly service, and ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service
  • Greet and engage customers with a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Accurately take and enter orders into the point-of-sale system.
  • Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations.
• Drink & Food Preparation
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to Ellianos standards.
  • Maintain consistency in drink quality, speed, and presentation.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures when preparing pastries and snacks.
• Store Operations
  • Operate cash register, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Keep the coffee bar, workstations, and customer areas clean and organized.
  • Restock supplies and maintain inventory as needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines.
• Teamwork
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Support new team member training and uphold Ellianos standards.
  • Communicate effectively with shift leaders and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior barista, food service, or retail experience a plus - but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
